Dear Colleagues,
I am so pleased to invite you to the 2008 International Conference, `Health and the Changing World' in Bangkok, Thailand. The conference is initiated by the tripartite, composes of Praboromarajchanok Institute Ministry of Public Health, Thailand with a strong collaboration from Edith Cowan University, Australia and the Association of Indonesian Nurse Education Center (AINEC). We promise to organize the conference every year in turn and AINEC will host the conference at Bali next year.
I would like to extend my appreciation to all co-organizers who give their hands and efforts for the conference. I wish to see you all and hope you will have a great time in Thailand.

It is a great pleasure for the University of Yamanashi to co-host the International Conference 2008, "Health and the Changing World" being held in Bangkok. Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nopparat Vajira, one of the nursing colleges of Praboromarajchanok Institute and University of Yamanashi have strengthened their relationship through international research and intellectual exchange since the first exchange began in 2000. The University of Yamanashi has exchange programs with several other universities worldwide, and we host many foreign students. We are proud of the cultural diversity at our university, and we realize the numerous challenges presented by cultural differences. As the Japanese society continues its globalization, we are seeing an evolution in health care issues. Considering the dynamic world situation, the aim of this conference is pertinent at this point of time. It is my sincere hope that this conference will provide a springboard for global health reform.
